something new...
Time for a new post on here. Sorry it took me so long. It's been a busy week for Amy. I got back Saturday night from my whirlwind trip to Delaware. I love that place. LOVE. I love my sisters even more. My whole family. I actually got to see almost everyone. Missed my nephew, nephew-in-law (x2), niece's daughter (whatever you call that), and my sister Sally. We all came together for my niece Christy's marriage to Andrew Zimmerman. It was beautiful. I will do several more posts in the near future. My dad married them in the Washington DC temple on his 76th birthday. Happy, happy day. Know what else is happy? Rita's. I was determined to get a picture of my favorite place with some of my favorite people (my 3 little sisters - Tracy, Laura & Rachel). Gelati's are a little bit of heaven. This was my 2nd trip there in 2 days. Delish.

red roots?
Anyhow, back to this morning. I never really went back to sleep after my 4:45 mess. I was ticked. I stayed in bed just hoping. Nothing. Then I left myself a lousy 20 minutes to dress Molly and Margaret and get to Tara's for a run. Margaret went into tantrum mode. The REAL deal. She had her back arched, legs stiffened, screaming, hitting, kicking...anything to keep me from putting her clothes on. So, guess what. I screamed back. I screamed. It hurt my throat and scared my baby. I was SO frustrated. I was late, and she wouldn't cooperate. I also tossed her on the bed. I was done. No abuse, but close. I regretted it the second I did it. I was off for the rest of the morning. She has thrown 2 more tizzies today. She is really on one. There's not much I can do when she comes apart. My heart rate is just now slowing down. I am sad that I lost control. I want her to forget it happened. I want to kiss away the bad memories. I'm not sure that I can though. Oh well, tomorrow will be better. Actually, tonight will - Bachelorette. Enough said.
My run this morning was great. Fastest 5 miles ever for me. Mile 4 was a 7:56, mile 5 was 7:24. I'm proud of that, considering that the past 2 months have been the total pits. I know I will only get faster and stronger this summer and that makes me really excited! Last week wasn't great. I started running again 1.5 weeks ago, against my chiropractor's better judgement. Went to a sports medicine DR who told me I could run, but just to add mileage slowly. I pushed too hard that week. It just felt so good to be back. I had a cold over the weekend, so that coupled with my exhaustion made for some really bad runs. I was discouraged. Today fixed that. Thank goodness.
The Schofield's minus Dave decided to do the 7 Peaks (pass of all passes) passes. I'm excited about it. We've already gotten our money's worth. Hopefully it will eliminate all the "I'm bored" comments I tend to get from June-August. It stresses me out a little. What?! Amy, stressed? Taking 5 kids by myself to the pool is a little overwhelming, but once again, my big kids come to the rescue. I can totally do it with their help.
Girl's Camp is in 3 weeks and I can't wait! I feel much more prepared than last year. It is going to be fabulous.
I get to go to DE on Wednesday for my niece's wedding. I cannot even tell you how excited I am about that, so I won't even try. :)

give me a "J"...
Can I tell you just how much I love this picture? I LOVE these Joel's. My nephew just graduated from High School last week. All 3 generations were there. I wish I had been.Joel Richard - My Dad. Husband to one, father to 8, grandfather to 19, great-grandfather to 2. Allergist practicing in Dover, DE. Stake Patriarch. Gentle. Kind. Christlike. Generous. Gifted speaker and writer. A true Philadelphia Phillies fanatic. Wonderful in every way.
Joel David - My dear OLDER brother. :) Husband to one, father to 4 great boys. Pediatric Cardiologist practicing in PA and DE. Scoutmaster. Die-hard BYU cougar fan. Cyclist extraodinaire. Photographer. Music connoisseur. Very fancy taste buds. Truly one of the funniest people you will ever meet.
Joel Anthony - My adorable nephew. High School graduate. Skateboarder. Brilliant (he was full-on reading at 2). Quiet but observant. Witty. SO handsome. Always gentle and good to my kids.
My Joel's. I love them so much.
*This is my 500th post! Should I celebrate somehow?
